The Hypnos Orthos Elite Wool Mattress is a supportive mattress which features a ReActive 7-turn pocket spring system. It has been designed to appeal to those who would prefer a firmer feel but do not wish to miss out on comfort. The Hypnos Orthos Elite Wool contains nothing but natural fillings, including British Lambs Wool and Cotton. The fillings are generously applied to the mattress by hand, and so an even and consistent finish is assured. These fillings are chosen not only for their comfort but because they are breathable, allowing air to flow freely through the mattress, helping it stay cool and dry at all times.

What is the Hypnos Orthos Elite Wool Mattress Pocket System?

The Hypnos Pocket Springs are named ReActive Springs, and they react according to the amount of weight being applied. The result of this is the more energy applied = the firmer the spring. So areas of the body requiring more support (lumbar region, shoulders and so on) will apply more pressure to the springs, which will result in a firmer spring. The ReActive Spring is treated in such a way that it has pressure thresholds (known as ‘Turns’), and the more Turns it has, the more gradual and refined the increase in firmness is as weight is applied. The springs will move up and down as weight is applied, like pistons, reacting precisely to the weight energy as it shifts, as a result, this provides total spinal and body support.

This Hypnos mattress is a hand tufted mattress, which keeps the fillings in place but also assists in giving the mattress a very precise and finely tuned firmness. The mattress is further enhanced with an enriched silver-infused Belgian Damask cover. This luxurious material remains cool, dry and encourages a healthier sleep. The mattress border has 2 rows of genuine hand side stitching for additional edge-to-edge support and flag stitched handles to help turn the mattress.

The mattress is available in two tensions; firm or extra firm.
